Common questions

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete Account, then confirm. Your account and its server-side data are deleted straight away.

Without the app, email privacy@rawhaapp.com from your account email. Details are on the Account & Data Deletion page.

Prayer times look different from my mosque.

Check that location access is allowed, then pick the calculation method your mosque uses (Profile tab → Prayer Times). Rawha offers 21 methods.

Prayer reminders don't arrive.

Make sure notifications are allowed for Rawha in your phone's settings, and open the app at least once a day so the next reminders are scheduled. On Android 14 and later, also allow Alarms & reminders.

A recitation doesn't play.

Recitations stream over the internet, so check your connection and try again, or choose another reciter. If one surah keeps failing, email us the surah and reciter.

How do the AI features work?

They are optional and only start after you agree. What you type is sent to Anthropic's Claude to write a reply and is never used to train AI. Rawha is not a religious authority; for rulings, please ask a qualified scholar. See AI safety and the Privacy Policy.

Is Rawha free?

Yes. Reading, listening, translations, prayer times and every core tool are free, with no ads. The AI features are free to use with fair daily limits.

Anything bought in Rawha is billed by Apple or Google, so you manage it there (iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions) and ask the store for refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or the order in your Google Play account.

Is my data sold or used for ads?

No. Rawha has no ads, no tracking and never sells data. Your journal stays on your phone. The Privacy Policy lists every service the app talks to.

How do I report a message, group or user?

Use the report option on the item in the app, or email support@rawhaapp.com with the group name and what you saw.

Where do the translations and recitations come from?

Each translation and reciter is credited in the app and on the credits page.
