Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Rawha account and all data stored on our servers at any time, either from inside the app or by email.

How to delete your Rawha account#

Option A — In the app (immediate)#

1. Open Rawha and sign in.
2. Open the Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom.
4. Tap Delete Account, then confirm.

Your account and all server-side data are deleted immediately, and the app returns you to the sign-in screen.

Option B — By email#

Send a request from your account email to privacy@rawhaapp.com with the subject:

Delete my Rawha account

Include the email address you used to sign up. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted#

When you delete your account, the following server-side data is permanently erased from our active systems (immediately for in-app deletion; within 30 days for email requests), and from backups within 90 days:

• Your profile (email, display name, avatar emoji, device ID)
• Quran bookmarks, reading position and streak, and verse reminders synced to your account
• Family Circle memberships and anything you shared with a circle
• Group Khatmah memberships and your Juz assignments
• AI conversation history tied to your account (all AI features)
• Push notification tokens

What stays on your device (and how to clear it)#

The following data lives only on your device. Deleting the app removes all of it:

• Journal entries and mood check-ins
• Intentions and reflections saved locally
• Dhikr counts and local habit / streak counters
• The cached adhan audio
• Local settings and preferences

To clear local data without deleting your account:

• iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Rawha → Offload App, or uninstall.
• Android: Settings → Apps → Rawha → Storage → Clear data, or uninstall.

What is NOT deleted#

Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate purposes:

• Anonymous crash reports, which contain no account identifier and cannot be linked back to you.
• Server access logs (max 30 days), which may contain your IP address.
• Records we are legally required to preserve (e.g., abuse reports).
